This is the first review I've ever wrote and its mostly based on the fact someone else gave this book five stars. Not only is the writing bad to the point that it seems like amateur fan-fiction, the art is mediocre. The way they changed all these characters that were already compelling bugs me as well. It seems they were trying to appeal to the the lowest common denominator with this one. This becomes even more laughable when you compare it to the old Suicide Squad by John Ostrander. If you think movies like 2 Fast 2 Furious are genuinely good you'll probably like this(it even has the same rat torture scene). Negative five stars.
If you took the best villains in comic-dom, made a twisted "special forces" squad out of them and sent them on impossible missions, you'd get the Suicide Squad. A new, sexier, colorful Harley Quinn steals the show here and the artist punishes us with her good looks and strength. I won't spoil the story- this is one of only a few of the DC "New 52" with a story twist capable of being "spoiled." This book is so inventive, so different, it totally suprpised me. Comic greatness, this!
I want to rave about the artists here- for the first time since I can remember the art inside the book is actually better than the cover. How often does that happen in comic books?

Great comic worth the .99 cents,going to by the next one right now,and repeat that process till I own them all.
